Years & Years – Desire (Gryffin Remix)

Say thank you to Gryffin because he has unloaded another piece of cloud house beauty, and it’s bigger than ever. If you didn’t catch it, his new song was actually the first song in the second We Are Your Friends trailer, and his remix of Years & Years’ “Desire” is the lead single off the film’s official soundtrack. In typical Gryffin fashion, he manages to keep Years & Years’ hipster vibe totally in tact while he reimagines in his uplifting world that takes us straight to the clouds.

Introducing Olly Alexander with his moans backed by soft synth keys, Gryffin than lets the three piece’s front man take the verse lead while he builds the tension masterfully like he always done. In just a few short second, the NYC based producer designs a mood-heightening ensemble of graceful guitar licks, throbbing bass, and chiming synth to really put a wonderful spin on the radio hit. Gryffin’s sound is truly his own, and we’ve been fans from the beginning for that exact reason.
