Throwing it back to the underground house days, the scene went from a small niche of unknowns to the forefront of the music industry. A massive player in the old school house and tech realm was New York’s own Subliminal Records, which we all had assumed had come and gone with the prevalence of underground. To many’s surprise, Subliminal is now making a triumphant come back with originator, Erick Morillo, as the label’s head. Created in 1997 with the help of Harry Romero, it was only fitting that the first release since it’s modern return is collaboration from the two. “The Restorer” is just the beginning of the imprints ultimate goal to bring real house back.
