Jack Ü ft. Justin Bieber – Where Are Ü Now (Life Of Dillon Cover)
Covers are a relatively new addition to the world of dance music. Understandably so though. For the most part you can’t really cover electronic music unless you’re going to count dubstep beat boxing, and catchy lyrical dance music has taken a while to get into the ears of those tuning into mainstream radio or indie vocalists; now that the masses have started to recognize the potential within this realm of music, we’re getting some incredible refreshing cover material. Life of Dillon, a UK trio consisting of David Keiffer and brothers Joe and Robert Griffith, has brought Jack Ü’s internet breaking, playlist conquesting, radio dominating single, “Where Are Ü Now,” into a beautiful new light. The combination of earthy acoustic guitar, somber piano notes, and a significantly subtle rolling bassline have made the track much easier on the ears. The reimagined vocals give new life to the track as well, and frankly makes the message feel more relatable. The guys used many of the same elements, bending indie, pop, and electronic genres on their Prologue EP, so if you’re vibing this, we whole heartedly recommend you check it out.
