Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank – Shades of Grey ft. Delaney Jane
Oliver Heldens and Shaun Frank are two of future house’s finest stars. Hailing from the Netherlands, Heldens was the flagbearer for the future house genre, as he helped the genre to its feet by infusing deep house with a blast of bass to make future house fitting for the masses. Shaun Frank has been slowly building his brand with consistent, quality releases, and the Toronto-based producer boasts an unique back-to-the-basics house style. With the temperatures skyrocketing and summer nearly upon us, Heldens and Frank have teamed up to deliver, ‘Shades of Grey’, “their sun-soaked future house jam.”
At first glance, the two future house maestros’ styles may seem like an odd fit, but Heldens and Frank craft a masterpiece together. Frank’s futuristic and fresh take on future house is like a breath of fresh air into a genre dominated by Heldens, Tchami, and up-and-comers like Pep & Rash, and his funky style meshes with Heldens’ booming bass lines to come together to give ‘Shades of Grey’ a deep groove. You may recognize Delaney Jane from Shaun Frank’s collaboration with Borgeous, “This Could Be Love,” and her pop croons find a home in ‘Shades of Grey’ alongside the funky, groovy production. ‘Shades of Grey’ is due out on June 22nd via Spinnin’ Deep.
