The world’s number 1 DJ is in the mood to show a different side of himself under the electric sky. Those who have followed Hardwell‘s career know that he holds himself out to be quite the turntablist, and regrets that he doesn’t get to show off those skills more often. What most people might not know is that he began his DJ career as a hip-hop DJ before becoming the poster boy for Dutch House. After doing a quick b2b set with Skrillex & Diplo over the weekend in Chicago, Hardwell revealed that he has a shocking trick up his sleeve. The video below shows him telling his fans that he will be playing a surprise hip-hop/moombahton set at EDC Vegas this weekend, and it won’t be on the main stage. Now would be a good time to check the timetables for some of those surprise or blank time slots because you might luck out and bear witness to a once in a lifetime set. It’s always interesting to see an artist step outside of their comfort zone and try something new, so this should be quite a treat. Here’s hoping it gets recorded.
