Bonnaroo is an annual four-day festival that takes place in Manchester, Tennessee at the Great Stage Park and is put together by Superfly Presents and AC Entertainment. Known for its announcement megathon and stacked lineups, the festival seems to out do itself every year with the rosters including names like Billy Joel, deadmau5 & Bassnectar . However, this year the festival has more than these highly-anticipated performances in store. Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has kicked off this year’s festival with the announcement of an ambitious plan to break a Guinness World Record. The mission to break the world record for high fives comes from the adorable Squish and his mom Amy who became Bonnaroo legends after their YouTube video in 2013.
For those of you who didn’t get the chance to see the viral video, it captured the moment Amy’s head was shaved on stage by Squish as Norway Bernhoft watched. The duo is back and is asking for festival goers help at breaking the world record of most high fives in an hour. The world record attempt will take place beginning at 5:30 PM CST today, Friday June 12th in front of the Other Tent. The attempt must beat out the current record of 2,181 high fives and you must sign in to participate and make history. If you want to witness the world record in action, be sure to watch #bonnaroolive exclusively on Red Bull TV HERE.
