San Holo – Victory
Firmly establishing himself in the future bass genre of electronic music, San Holo manages to craft an extremely well-done EP on the more conceptualized side. From his first Soundcloud release about a year ago, he finds himself on the forefront of the future bass movement, with huge remixes of artists like Dr. Dre and Outkast; affording him the amazing opportunity to play at some of the largest venues in Europe. Premiering songs from this album, he will be rocking the stage at 19 DOWN in Essen, Germany this Saturday and also a secret to-be-announced venue in France soon after on the 21st.
Creating a highly dance-able future bass EP, San Holo uses many experimental sounds to create a palatable, yet intellectualized mood. As the leading single from his EP, this one begins with a chirpy arp immediately followed by some melancholic bass hits and some nicely done atmospheric stabs. The bassline, though experimental, is very catchy with flowing vocal cuts and 8 bit elements characteristic of San Holo‘s sound.
