Flume – Some Minds (feat. Andrew Wyatt)

Flume‘s latest track, “Some Minds”, is an ensemble of organic and synthetic elements, highlighted by touches of jazz and bursts of electronica, which allows us to see Flume at his most genuine. “Some Minds” is the first original track Flume has released in quite some time, and the sincerity of the song is what makes it so unique. Described by Flume as a “love letter to Sydney”, the song relinquishes some of the amplitude of Flume’s previous work and substitutes into the song a rawness that is unique.

The addition of Andrew Wyatt (producer and vocalist probably best known for his role in electronica group Miike Snow) to the track was mentioned by Flume as being “one of the most natural collabs I’ve worked on”. This is no surprise considering Wyatt’s musical experience and range in production. The tandem certainly seem to be on to something with this collaboration.
