‘Angels‘ marks their second collaboration with Kat Nestel, the female vocalist whose catchy-but-cliché lyrics carried No Way Out. Like the previous song, both seem constructed with festival season in mind: the duo’s well-known technical prowess lends itself easily to the song’s ability to inspire dancing and celebration. Nestel returns to this second track with the same energetic style, graciously echoed by Vicetone’s characteristic mania. Her pained lyrics benefit from such classic drum and synth layering, made more complex by the Saxophone’s large role.
