Illenium has been a hot commodity over the past year or so; setting himself apart from other melodic bass producers by securing himself gigs at some of the most sought after establishments and festivals in the country, like Global Dance Festival and Decadence NYE, due to his innate ability to blend melody and bass together to produce some huge high quality records.
Having already released three remixes this year in the three and a half months that have already gone by that include Phoebe Ryan’s ‘Mine‘, Dada Life’s ‘Tonight We’re Kids Again‘Â and Dawn Golden’s ‘All I Want‘, that have amassed over 1 million plays, no wonder why
Starting off with a smooth and sexy liquid drum and bass beat, taking this remix light years away from the original structure which comprises of a slower, downbeat and atmospheric arrangement, Illenium has teamed up with Said the Sky, both hailing from Denver, who is no stranger to success himself, having previous collaborated with Illenium and produced tracks featuring Jeza, Missio and Melissa Hayes, to create a beautifully different interpretation of Enkidu’s ‘Falling’ that leaves this writer almost speechless. Thankfully, I don’t need to speak to be able to articulate how incredible this remix is.
