Festival season begins anew this week, and that means excitement is reaching a fever pitch. While the lucky ones make their way down to Miami for Ultra Music Festival, those who can’t make it are being treated to some news as well. Today Ultra announced that it would be livestreaming its signature event on Twitch TV. For those of you unfamiliar, Twitch TV was originally envisioned as a site/app for livestreaming video game content. It only recently began toying with music when the infamous deadmau5, an admitted gamer, decided to use the site for his own streaming. This is an interesting turn of events for Ultra, who really spearheaded the livestreaming of music festivals, because the streams were previously on Youtube. It appears that Twitch will now be leaving Youtube in the dark, but Ultra is promising a bigger and better experience for this year’s event. Check out the video below and you can download Twitch for iOS and Android now.
