The extremely talented Lido is back with some big news for his fans. The Norwegian just released “Rush Hour,” the first single off his collaborative EP “Superspeed.” The six track EP is a joint project with Canblaster and is set to drop on Pelican Fly on April 6th. It has been a couple months since Lido’s last EP, when he treated his fans to 5 excellent remixes off his EP, “I Love You.” In between then, Lido has still found time to drop his standout remixes to “Why I’m Single” and “Left Hand Free” as well as his collaboration with Hoodboi, “Palm Reader.” This time, it is his collaboration with Canblaster that is blowing people away.
“Rush Hour” begins frantically, with a cacophony of noises ranging from tapping keys to church bells. The track then introduces heavy and powerful bass that sets the tone for the rest of the song. This heavy bass is perfectly contrasted with euphoric future trap stabs that inject energy into the track. The track is kept fresh throughout as it constantly demands your attention. Lido and Canblaster make sure not to play the same thing twice, as they vary up their impeccable production throughout. The two even close out the track with some soothing piano to give “Rush Hour” a fitting outro. Lido is one of the most talented musicians in the industry, and his immense talents shine through on this newest release. You can buy the track here, where you can also preorder the entire EP set to drop on April 6th.
