Krewella – Somewhere To Run
Once nearly ubiquitous, Krewella went uncharacteristically quiet following the group’s high profile breakup. After the lawsuit filed by former member RainMan was made public, remaining members Yasmine and Jahan Yousaf took to social media to defend themselves and released the scathing track “Say Goodbye”, clearly inspired by recent events.
It’s been a few months since the group has released any music and now, not long after the announcement of Rain Man’s solo tour, the duo have announced that their next single, “Somewhere To Run”, will drop next week. Set for release on March 23rd from Columbia Records, “Somewhere To Run” should be an important release for the sisters. While “Say Goodbye” was warmly received, it wasn’t the type of track that solidified the new Krewella’s future in electronic music. With blood still bad between the girls and RainMan, the Yousafs have a lot to prove and fans won’t have to wait long to see if they deliver.
