Though Austin isn’t on par with the likes of legalized weed as some of its lucky counterpart cities, it sure does have a loud reputation for being a 420-friendly city with an aggressive love for live music. That being said, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that trap duo Flosstradamus announced their first annual HDYFEST for the much celebrated, unofficial April 20th holiday at Stubbs, one of Austin’s most well-known and widely-played venues.
The Chicago natives will be celebrating the release of their Soundclash EP and will be bringing their friends Valentino Khan, NYMZ (of Milo & Otis) and Ricky Remedy with them. Judging by the HDYFEST event page on Facebook, it sounds like the guys are going to give Austin’s popular kite festival a run for its money for being the highest event of the year and challenge the famed Bob Marley Fest (Austin Reggae Festival) held on 4/19 to puffing the largest cloud of smoke over the city. And because we are all for family-friendly events here in Texas, the duo has graciously made this event an “All Age” event – fantastic. Grab your HDYFEST tickets here at 10AM on Thursday, March 5 because this is one smoke circle you won’t want to pass up.
