Katie Farrah Sopher, an unknown songwriter, recently accused Disclosure of using her lyrics without her knowledge or consent in their hit songs “Latch,” “White Noise” and “You and Me.” After staying quiet regarding the accusations, Disclosure is now fighting back. They issued a full statement on their Facebook page, completely denying Sopher’s claims.
Aside from the comforting news that Disclosure denies stealing lyrics to their songs, it is great to hear that their album is coming along smoothly. We can only look forward to hearing their upcoming work and eagerly anticipate the album’s release. Hopefully, it exclusively contains their original work. AlunaGeorge, Sam Smith and Eliza Doolittle were also named in the lawsuit, but they have yet to comment on the accusations.
