Earlier today, the media publishing company, The Festive Owl, confirmed the hopes and aspirations of thousands of Bassheads attending Electric Forest, by saying that they can “100% confirm it’s happening”. Attributing the confidence to The Festive Owl comes courtesy of their near perfect prediction of last year’s lineup in full. Rumors had circulated far and wide to the appearance of another Bassnectar set at Rothbury prior to this announcement, and it will be the first time Lorin has returned to Electric Forest since his set in 2012.
It’s been apparent in the atmosphere at Electric Forest over the past few years that attendees have been tentatively awaiting the year where they can see Bassnectar rule “The Ranch” or take over Tripolee once more. In a fitting fifth year anniversary to the first Electric Forest, Bassnectar will bring the set people have been praying for and will finally lineup once again alongside annual primary headliners, The String Cheese Incident.
