RL Grime & What So Not – Tell Me (Baauer Edit)
Yesterday, trap star Baauer, released his edit of the anthem track, ‘Tell Me’. The original track, a product of a couple trap’s heavy weights, RL Grime and the duo, What So Not, is a well established trap jam logging nearly 6.5 million plays on Soundcloud, since its release in May of 2014. So seven months after the original’s release, ‘Tell Me’ has received a much needed facelift.
The original track, however awesome it may be, has been played out in it’s original form so many times that when the song comes on these days it’s easy to gloss over it and many even fail to appreciate it. However, the time has come when we can once again shamelessly drown our eardrums in ‘Tell Me’, albeit this time in a reincarnated form that Baauer has aggressively delivered in big brass fashion. In fact, the catchiest part of the entire original track, the skipping vocalization of “tell me” is still utilized to its full extent and is hyphenated by gatered drops, heavy bass, and melodic pauses. But trust us, this is not the ‘Tell Me’ you’ve heard a thousand times. Hear it like you never have before, below.
