Swedish dance music titans Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have unleashed on the world the anthemic acid house track Can’t Hold Us Down. When it premiered a couple of weeks ago on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, the record’s relentlessly gritty sound sent the message loud and clear to fans everywhere that bigger and better things are on the horizon. As the two continue on from Swedish House Mafia sans Steve Angello, Axwell Λ Ingrosso are making quite the statement with this release, declaring it the official start to what they call The Dawn Of A New Beginning… a departure, you might say, from their SHM past. “Can’t Hold Us Down” is the first track off of their debut album together, due out in 2015 on Def Jam Recordings in the States and Virgin/EMI in the UK, but the first official single is still to come. With much to look forward to in the coming months, we warmly welcome this new chapter in Axwell and Ingrosso’s career.
