Two Bodies feat. Emma Louise (HNNY REMIX)
Flight Facilities’ Two Bodies officially dropped today, and with it, a remix from producer/DJ, HNNY. Â The Sweden native, whose name is obviously pronounced ‘honey’ (which explains his like for all things Winnie the Pooh), has taken the already fairly relaxed and beach house-tinged original and added hints of dance floor ambition to it. Everything about this track just works, and it’s definitely one of my standout releases this week, but, I’m a sucker for well produced, “4am” melodic house. Emma Louise’ vocals provide an excellent high line for remixing, and one almost has the sense that not much needs to be done. The whole point is to simply let her voice breathe over the record. HNNY has certainly accomplished that nuance on ‘Two Bodies’, and the subtle high hats, soft ripples of synthesizer play, and organic soundscape as a whole offer a perfect capsule for those vocals.
