For those of you who are attending this year’s HARD Day Of The Dead, here’s your opportunity to grab your GoPro and “be a hero.” GoPro, the company widely known for its ultra compatible cameras that have taken the world by storm, has now teamed up with HARD for a “Capture This” contest that will go on during Day of the Dead. The premise of the contest is simple: simply capture and compile the biggest and best moments from this year’s DOTD into a short video and submit it for your chance to win big. The winner of the grand prize will receive the opportunity to have their video featured on HARD’s YouTube channel, VIP tickets to next year’s HARD Summer, a HARD “Swag Bag,”, and a brand spanking new GoPro Hero 4.
Magical moments will be plentiful at this year’s Day Of The Dead as acts like Deadmau5 and Prydz go head on back 2 back while enigmatic producer ZHU makes his North American debut. Add in the incredible stages like the Mayan Pyramid Main Stage, and attractions like the giant Century Wheel, and working zip-line, and fans definitely won’t have a shortage of footage to choose from.
While GoPro cameras are notoriously known for their use in extreme-sports, it is not uncommon to see them floating around and above crowds at today’s biggest music festivals. With the company recently releasing their brand new Hero 4 model, Day Of The Dead presents a perfect opportunity to give the new model a test run.
For those of you who have a GoPro, start preparing for the madness that is to ensue this weekend. And for those of you who don’t, I suggest either driving to your closest Best Buy to purchase your own GoPro or start nagging your best friend to borrow theirs.
