Yesterday, news surfaced regarding the Walt Disney Company suing Joel Zimmerman over a trademark on his Mau5-Head. It did not take long for Joel to come up with a creative way to respond. He announced his intention to counter-sue Disney for copyright infringement over their use of Deadmau5’ smash hit ‘Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff’ in a video called ‘Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff Re-Micks’.
This saga has now become much more interesting. Deadmau5 is, of course, not one to go down without a fight. However, who knew how far the controversial record producer would go. More information regarding this legal situation will probably be released in the coming days. For now, you can enjoy Joel’s commentary on Twitter, but don’t expect this situation to die down anytime soon. You can see the video and series of tweets that Deadmau5 fired off below, including the official legal documents that his lawyer sent to Disney.
