RL Grime Drops Fresh Details on Forthcoming Debut Album
James Brannigan
If you haven’t heard of RL Grime yet, where have you been? His collab with What So Not “Tell Me” has been making some serious rounds in the festival circuit, and his remixes of “Mercy,” “Satisfaction” and “Love Sosa” have made him one of the de facto names in the trap scene. Now Henry Steinway is looking to take the next big step forward with a debut album. The California DJ announced via a Facebook post that his latest single, “Core,” which will be released July 15th, is the first single off of his debut album. As of right now there is no release date, but for those of us who can’t wait the week to hear it, ITM tracked down a snippet of track in GTA’s EDC Vegas set. If you fast forward to 7:30 you will hear Core mixed into Calvin Harris’ “Summer.” The tune is slow and the sound is elongated but it is perfect for mobbing out with the homies. Be sure to stay tuned here for the latest news on the debut album.
