A Las Vegas coroner has just confirmed what most of us feared: the California man who died at EDC Las Vegas died because of an overdose of ecstasy in connection with his prior condition of cardiac enlargement. The initial reports had mentioned only the pre-existing condition, but now the full story has been revealed. The victim, 24 year old California native Montgomery Tsang, was found unconscious in the parking lot on Friday night and was rushed to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Today the coroner’s office released their report, stating that the cause of death was an acute MDMA toxicity, and that another significant contribution was the cardiac enlargement condition. Tsang was among three deaths at EDC Las Vegas, but the other two causes are not yet known to the public. This was the initial statement from Insomniac which rings home a good point: one death is too many. Our prayers go out to the Tsang family and his friends who are most affected by this tragedy.
