Big news out of the Dirty South camp: the Australian DJ will be releasing a sophomore album later on in 2014, and it will be released on Astralwerks, the home of Deadmau5, Porter Robinson and Mat Zo. There is no title yet for the new album, but an official statement states that the album will “span a multitude of genres” and is “the next step in Dirty South’s ongoing artistic evolution; traversing the electronic, indie, and alternative soundscape to create a sound all his own.” The album will also be accompanied by a short film that is written, directed and shot by Dirty South himself. While there is no doubt that fans have already heard some samples of the new tracks live on the DJs expansive world tour, the first official single will be dropping in early August, entitled “Unbreakable.” If you haven’t seen Dirty South live yet be sure to see him when he comes to a city near you.
