Heavy bass interlayed with body-jacking melodies -that’s been the calling card of a Weiss track since he first broke into the house game a few years back, and I Feel Better certainly continues that trend with grand success. A classically powered tech house anthem, “I Feel Better” features a powerful sub bass that powers an intricate drum rack, a plethora of stabs, and a vocal sample that aggressively bubbles through to the forefront of the track. The groove is infectious, and it’s a perfect track to lead into peak time ascension. A quality outing for Weiss on the eve of his Weiss City Volume 3 release, which “I feel Better” naturally features on.
Weiss has had a strong few months, with his “In Your Bed” remix being featured on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 show, and his tracks “My Sister” and “The Guitar Man” both making big splashes in the house scene. Â 2014 will see the Toolroom man remix the likes of house legend Marc Kinchen and Tube & Berger (and boy how excited are we for those), further entwining him as a key player in the underground house scene, and an artist to watch this Summer.
