This Memorial Weekend, Movement Electronic Music Festival returns to their hallowed grounds of Hart Plaza, a riverfront park right in the heart of the city. The event spans 3 days and will feature over 100 electronic acts, big and small, spread across 5 outdoor stages, plus a new Silent Disco stage added for this year’s event. Movement has a reputation of bringing in and celebrating Detroit’s birthright as the scene for techno, and this year they’ve made sure they brought the genre out in full-swing. This year’s notable tech house/ techno acts include Carl Cox, Marco Carola, and The Martinez Brothers to name a few. The festival also brings special acts like a B2B set with Kevin Saunderson and Seth Troxler and a special live show with Detroit’s Underground Resistance presenting TIMELINE. If you’re looking to mix up your nights from techno, the festival also got a hold of acts like Flosstradamus, Riff Raff & Lil Debbie, Baauer, and DJ Snake. 3-day and single-day passes to Movement can be purchase here. Check out the full line up on their page, and don’t miss out on this 13-year-old tradition!
