Making their main stage debut this year at Ultra Music Festival, Swedish electronic duo, Rebecca & Fiona are taking on the world in a whirlwind of girl power. After a bit of a hiatus following the release of their first album, I Love You Man, and sporadic hit single releases accompanied by funky videos carrying us through the decades, the girls are back with a full album: ‘Beauty Is Pain‘ is set for release on April 29th. The lead single off the album, ‘Candy Love’ gave a preview of the album’s style with its catchy Swedish style pop infused with dark political undertones. The second single ‘Holler’ follows suit in the same fashion and style. The girls co-produced both tracks with Swedish star Carli, and once again had mastermind Tommie X help with styling and music video direction. The result for ‘Holler’ is a 90’s era video, with girls breaking out of their room, running a muck and basically sticking it to the patriarchy. The culmination of the sounds and imagery in the video paired with the punctuated Swedish speech at the end all demonstrate the power and passion of DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona.
