The vocal classic track “Hurt” was originally produced by none other than the group Nine Inch Nails back in 1995, and last summer New Jersey native Marcello Pacheco, or simply Eco, teamed up with vocalist Carly Burns to give the track an electronic spin in the new age. Well, fresh life has been breathed into the track once again with release of the official remix package courtesy of Enhanced featuring mixes from Cold Rush, AWD and Keyworth Oldfresh.
One to keep an ear on, Estonian producer duo Cold Rush (Erkki Abel & Robert Roost) offer up a lower-beats-per-minute (in the trance world) mix that is simultaneously extremely driving and atmospheric. The mix is dripping with dreamy vibes, uplifting synths and is topped off by the silky smooth nature of Carly’s vocals.
Birmingham UK-based Alastair Dolman (AWD) has been straddling the genre line with his recent releases, and this remix offort is no different. Melding a comfortable fusion of trance, progressive, house and even some faint Madeon tinges; AWD definitely has crafted a production style that sonically differentiates each one of his releases.
