The “Five Star” debuted on February 15th during the club’s special Valentine’s Day show in celebration of the venue’s five year anniversary. So, what’s inside a “Five Star”? The drink is a mix of Louis XIII Rare Cask 42.6, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23-year, Martini Gran Lusso 150th Anniversary Vermouth, D.O.M. Benedictine “Black Monk” 500th Anniversary Edition, along with Peychaud’s Bitters, Angostura Bitters, and garnished with flamed orange oils. For reference, and in case you’re wondering, the Louis XIII Rare Cask 42.6 weighs in at roughly $22,000.00 per bottle.
Since this drink is catered to the wealthy, it is mixed table-side by a bartender and delivered on a special gold tray. The cocktail is named after the level of service found regularly at XS and the hotel that the club is housed in, the Wynn Resorts, which has collected more Forbes Travel Guide Five-star awards than any other independent hotel company in the world.
