Media outlet TMZ recently had a quick interview with the infamous Paris Hilton about her DJ career. She spoke about how she will be returning to Ibiza in the summer and will be spinning on NYE at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. At the end of their light banter back and forth, Paris says, “I’m one of the top five DJs in the world.” Many press outlets have jumped to construe this as a serious statement. Do you think she honestly believes she is one of the top five DJs in the world? Now she may not be the brightest tool in the shed, but she definitely knows a thing or two about sarcasm and having a sense of humor. Although she has had some incredible success being a DJ this year, no one has taken her seriously in interviews. Ellen Degeneres recently had Paris on her show and simply made a mockery of her. We’re in no means defending her talent, because she has very little, if any, of that. However, Paris must be fed up with all these interviews and the universal hatred. She’s a celebrity. That’s why venues book her. Her track selection, mixing abilities, versatility and energy on stage have nothing to do with it.
Paris Hilton knows what she has going on for her and she takes advantage of it. It was a smart decision on her part to become a DJ. She knew venues would book her because of her social status. So before you jumped to any ridiculous conclusions and believe Paris genuinely thinks she’s one of the best, think again.
TMZ caught up with Paul Oakenfold later on that day to see what he thought about what Paris Hilton had to say about her ‘eliteness’. As expected, the renowned DJ was completely shocked and flabbergasted.
