The Los Angeles State Historic Park has been home to many big EDM shows. For example, Swedish House Mafia held one of their “Masquerade Motels” event there, while Hard Summer and Hard Day of the Dead has called the park home for a couple of years. If you’ve ever been to this venue, you would see that it’s pretty desolate. Throw in a ferris wheel and some stages and we have something going, but the California State Parks Department is seeking to do some major improvements. Starting mid-February, the park will be closed for renovations. A year-long makeover is in the works to bring an amphitheater, permanent bathrooms, a welcome pavilion, two 75-space parking lots and a promenade for famers markets and other gatherings to the 32-acre park.
The project is projected to cost between $18 million and $20 million. No news have yet to surface regarding where Hard 2014 will take place, but we will keep you posted.
