Earlier today, Forbes announced their 3rd annual ’30 under 30′ list. The list is comprised of the biggest names and brightest stars in 15 different industries. It’s a showcase of the great young minds who are changing the world and making a difference. This year, 3 electronic dance artists graced the list: Avicii, Calvin Harris and Zedd.
Bruno Mars took the top spot this year, but Avicii followed close behind. His name and brand have been some of the biggest ambassadors for the EDM community in the world of music and he’s done nothing but get bigger. His massive summer track “Wake Me Up” made it as our number one track of 2013, it dominated in North American and European markets and is a sign of his undeniable success as well as the advent of a new music era with EDM in the forefront.
Calvin Harris comes in not too far behind. He’s made several Forbes lists in the past and is the highest paid DJ on the market right now. He attributes his success to simply being in the right place at the right time.
And lastly, but certainly not least, is our list closer Zedd. Clarity was an extremely successful album, and his rise has done nothing but pick up pace.
