After much anticipation, the debut festival known as ‘Mysteryland’ on US soil will be held just outside of Bethel Woods, Ny. Decades ago, these same grounds held thousands of people for the historic Woodstock in 1969, and now a new festival will return to these sacred fields. On this same note, SFX Entertainment and ID&T, who have been accumulating all sorts of rights for different events and venues, is the force behind this festival. Its owner, Robert F.X. Sillerman, related this event, which first saw its birth in 1993, to Woodstock itself, saying (more after the break):
“Mysteryland has had a tremendous impact on the music world and it is the logical festival to follow in the footsteps of the original ground-breaking music event, Woodstock.”
The festival is scheduled for May 23rd through the 26th, with the option of both single day passes ($109) or entire weekend passes ($179). There are only supposed to be about 20,000 tickets sold for this event, which creates a relatively intimate atmosphere for the scale of the event itself. Accommodations will range between anything from limited camping spots to VIP tents, which can range up to almost two thousand dollars.
Tickets are set to go on sale December 12th. Check out the full Mysteryland website here, and watch the official trailer video below.
