If you have not seen already, British Producer and DJ Mat Zo has recently uploaded onto his Soundcloud a track that is sure to be the next heavy hitting festival banger. The song titled “Turn Up the Funk,” is of course a joke by a one Matan Zohar to poke fun at the songs in the current EDM scene that are simply filled with a bass filled drop. What is even funnier about the tune is the inspiration that Mat Zo used to create it. Upon first listen a person knows that it is obviously a troll that should not be taken seriously. However after listening to it more, the listener will soon realize that the joke track holds many similarities to the childhood lullaby “Twinkle Twinkle Litter Star,” or even “Baa Baa Black Sheep.” This only adds to the comedic antics of Mat Zo who on his Soundcloud said that making this track was the “best 3 hours I ever spent.” And to clarify even further, the British producer has used this as a mean to explain that his new upcoming album will sound nothing like “Turn Up the Funk.” His new album “Damage Control,” is set to be released on November 5th so make sure to grab a copy.
