Jeremy Olander vs Kent – Petroleum (Eric Prydz Essential Mix Preview)
Genre: Progressive House / Label: Pryda Friends / Release: August 09, 2013
During his live essential mix at Cream Privelege Ibiza this weekend, Eric Prydz dropped a gorgeous new Jeremy Olander track titled “Petroleum”. A track that at one point was unlikely to see the light of day, “Petroleum” was so popular among members of the band, Kent, and among Pryda Friends, that Jeremy had no choice but to release it.
“The ‘Petroleum’ track first started out as a tool. I wanted to make something fresh, big and with emotional vocals that I could end my sets with. I premiered it a show I did in Stockholm with Above & Beyond earlier this year and people instantly started asking me about what track it was, which was a little but surprising since the vocals are Swedish.” – Jeremy Olander
“Petroleum” is a welcome refresher to the progressive house genre. It’s catchy, unique, and the vocals are indeed, transcending. It is sure to be another classic from the immensely talented Jeremy Olander. A gem in the industry, Jeremy’s tracks have had the honor of being released on powerhouse labels such as Toolroom Records, Drumcode, and of course, Pryda Friends. The release of “Petroleum” will coincide with the beginning of a Pryda Friends North American tour that features Jeremy along with the brilliant Fehrplay. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on August 09.
