“Embrace me, surround me…as the rush comes…”
Adding to a trend that I am absolutely digging (reworking and updating classic electronic music tracks to a 2013 model), Dash Berlin released an official 2013 remix preview of the immortal track “As The Rush Comes”. The original version was released in 2004 to pretty substantial chart successes, additionally in which Gabriel & Dresden’s “Chillout Mix” was featured on Nip/Tuck and Gabriel & Dresden’s “Sweeping Strings Edit” was also featured on Entourage. However the sweet call of Jes Brieden’s vocals overlaid with those layers of aural beauty unfortunately haven’t been heard for a while: until now.
Dash’s remix stays true to the original; which I feel is a fine line in reworking older masterpieces, and important that one do not cross that line in respect for the original version. Producers Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg, and Sebastiaan Molijn add just that extra bit of energetic punch and airy atmospheric reverb to the track to create an emotionally-charged spacey mental escape at any given time. Take a listen below, and stay tuned for its drop in Dash’s upcoming shows!
