Ellie Goulding and dance music have been a combination almost as good as peanut butter and jelly so it seems only natural that Ellie will hone her DJ skills on July 26th at Surrender nightclub of the Wynn Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Her vocals have been featured on some of the most popular tracks in electronic dance music; Goulding has collaborated with producers such as Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Zedd. The news that Ellie will DJ at Surrender is fantastic; there needs to be more women DJ’s and producers as currently it’s an overwhelmingly male dominated field. Ellie Goulding undoubtedly understands the components of what goes into a good DJ set as she has certainly been exposed to the industry enough.
More importantly, will she simultaneously spin and sing vocals on her own tracks? She is certainly capable, and it would be fascinating to see. We hope that this event will be recorded so everyone who isn’t in Las Vegas can enjoy the debut of Ellie Goulding, the DJ, at Surrender nightclub on July 26th.
