Being the flag-bearer of the Trance movement across the world, along with holding the position of one of the most looked up to producers in the world is certainly no easy task for anyone to uphold. Being responsible for an incredible contribution to dance music, it’s easy to forget about the fans that matter, no matter how big or small. Luckily that’s not the case for perhaps one of the most humble DJs and producers known in our scene of love for dance music. On Friday May 10th, Philadelphia prepares for an extremely memorable event as the five-time #1 DJ in the World, Armin van Buuren makes a stop at Festival Pier as part of his ‘Intense’ tour. Intense is Armin’s 5th artist album and each preceding artist album has been nothing but magic. Just a short week after the official release of ‘Intense’, Armin van Buuren will play atop the massive Festival Pier Stage at Penn’s Landing for a crowd of excited Trance fans from all over the northeast coast. Thanks to a collaboration between Soundgarden Hall & House of Hearts, we are ready to welcome the Trance-father with open arms to our sunny city of Philadelphia.

  • Date: Friday, May 10th,  2013
  • Location: Festival Pier @ Penn’s Landing (Columbus Blvd and Spring Garden Sts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19106)
  • Time: 7:00 PM
  • Lineup: Armin van Buuren
  • General Admission Tickets available HERE

Armin van Buuren: “These songs came to life just by being in the studio, being who I am and following my gut. I feel closer to myself than I ever have. The album sort of happened to me, it just all came together and the story wrote itself. I didn’t try to force anything, I just did what I found interesting and tried to have as much fun in the studio as possible.”

After Armin van Buuren’s performance at Festival Pier, the parties don’t end there, as Soundgarden Hall has kept the Trance night going as they invite you to join them for sets by Rank1, Tritonal & more. Club Rumor will have Chus and Ceballos performing as well.

We couldn’t be more eager for the legendary Dutchman to premiere his album ‘Intense’ in our beloved city. History will be made at Festival Pier on May 10th, and we hope that you will join EDMtunes & Armin van Buuren in celebrating this milestone in his career. Have a great day #trancefamily.
