The popular animated Adult Swim show, Rick and Morty, has made McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce famous again by having the title character, Rick, become obsessed over finding some during the season 3 premiere and delivered an unforgettable monologue about it. This sauce was originally released as a promotion for the release of Disney’s, “Mulan” in 1998.
McDonalds decided to send the creator of the show a giant container full of the sauce and also decided to ship out a few other containers with the last of the Szechuan Sauce, with one going to a writer named Robert Workman.Â
Workman ended up putting it up on eBay where it sold for more than $15,000 with the final winner being Deadmau5. All of this happened during the same weekend of his wedding and his response to Workman about buying the sauce is priceless.Â
Workman tweeted at him that the sauce is his and Deadmau5 responded with, “I’m in. Let me finish getting married n shit.” So all in all, Deadmau5 had one unforgettable weekend between his wedding and receiving the delicious container full of the Mulan McNugget Szechuan Sauce.Â
