RL Grime – Aurora

Though trap god RL Grime has been radio silent since Halloween, he posted on Facebook yesterday with a simple, cryptic post – “Tomorrow 10 AM PST.” Leaving fans to speculate and wait, we could only hope for some new sounds.

Well, the announcement is here: just days before his upcoming performance at Coachella, Grime has graced his fans with a new tune AND music video titled “Aurora“, and it is (literally) out of this world. Grime took to Instagram this morning to post a short clip of the video, explaining in the caption:

First, the track: another future trap track that does not disappoint. It combines simple vocals with the heavy basslines we all know and love so much. The music video, in combination with R.L’s signature sounds, creates an absolutely mindblowing experience for anyone that takes a few minutes to watch. You are literally watching the route of a weather balloon exploring the mysteriously vast world beyond our own world, and it is captivating to say the least. This could be one of the most creative music videos in the EDM world yet – after all, who doesn’t want to fly through space with the arms of trap music guiding you?
