EDMTunes’ Year In Review: Top 10 Remixes Of 2015

remixes

Over the past 12 months, we here at EDMTunes have written up more tracks than we can count. Many of those productions are remixes, which means it would be difficult to find a better group of people to come up with a list of the year’s best remixes. That being said, we (the editors) decided to create a Facebook poll and ask our staff members what they think the best remix of 2015 is. This was the fairest way to compile the list and while many of you might not agree with the selections, we feel that we were pretty accurate. After calculating the results from the highly-debated survey, we can now present our list of the ‘Top 10 Remixes of 2015’.

10. Faithless – Salva Mea 2.0 (Above & Beyond Remix)

A legendary dance music act remixing another legendary dance music act? This is just a recipe for success.

9. Rihanna – Bitch Better Have My Money (Claude VonStroke Remix)

We never thought we would see the day that Claude VonStroke remixed Rihanna, but now that it happened, we can’t imagine our lives without it.

8. Porter Robinson – Flicker (Mat Zo Remix)

The first of two entries to come from Porter Robinson’s Worlds Remixed album is Mat Zo’s take on “Flicker”. Find out why Porter called this “one of the best remixes i’ve ever gotten in my life” below.

7. The Chainsmokers – Let You Go (Steve James Remix)

When Steve James isn’t making hits for Justin Bieber, he’s churning out killer remixes like this particular one. Watch out for this kid in 2016.

6. Eric Prydz VS CHVRCHES – Tether

Eric Prydz doesn’t release too many remixes, so when he does, people go bonkers. His collaborative effort with CHVRCHES is one to drool over.

5. The Weeknd – The Hills (RL Grime Remix)

The Weeknd was one of the biggest breakout stars of 2015 and when trap king RL Grime got his hands on “The Hills”, something magical happened.

4. Porter Robinson – Divinity (feat. Amy Millan) (ODESZA Remix)

When two of the most forward-thinking acts in the industry come together, you know it’s bound to get people talking. ODESZA’s remix of “Divinity” is pure bliss.

3. Adele – Hello (marshmello Remix)

This stellar take on Adele’s hit song keeps getting taken down due to copyright reasons, but the fact that there is a new version of it popping up every single day shows just how much people love this remix.

2. GTA – Red Lips feat. Sam Bruno (Skrillex Remix)

This tune has been floating around for quite some time now. We didn’t even know if it would make this list due to the fact that it seemed like Skrillex was never going to actually release the song. Thankfully, the famous “Red Lips” remix is finally here for you to enjoy.

1. Nero – The Thrill (Porter Robinson Remix)

This remix was the first production that Porter Robinson released since his critically-acclaimed debut album. Worlds is a pretty tough act to follow, but Porter managed to exceed expectations. He debuted the remix at Coachella and it has been stuck in our heads ever since.

Honorable mentions:

-Sam Smith – Lay Me Down (Flume Remix)
-Eric Prydz – Opus (Four Tet Remix)
-Tiesto & KSHMR – Secrets (Don Diablo VIP)
-Zomboy – Terror Squad (Bro Safari & Ricky Remedy Remix)
-Above & Beyond – Fly To New York feat. Zoë Johnston (Above & Beyond vs. Jason Ross Club Mix)
