It’s been a hot start to the year for David Guetta, who’s already notched three Beatport #1 releases with tracks like “Shot Me Down” and “Bad.” But just when you thought that he might be slowing down, he loops back around with yet another club-ready single. This latest release goes by the title, “Lovers On The Sun” and features accompanying vocals from Sam Martin as well as producer support from Giorgio Tuinfort, Frederic Riesterer, and none other than Avicii. The culminating track is one of those upbeat, feel-good summer tunes that will have fans dancing from beach to bar.
What might be most interesting about this latest work is the mixture of guitar interludes and cheery synth melodies throughout the long builds and euphoric instrumentals of the track. While the extent of Avicii’s support is unknown, “Lovers On The Sun” would definitely feel right at home on Bergling’s True album, which is a great complement to any new release. Regardless of how it all came to be, it’s exciting to see another high-level producer getting outside of his comfort zone to deliver a truly unique & compelling record. This is certainly shaping up to be an exciting 2014 for David Guetta.
