This year’s Miami Music Week in Miami will pay tribute, in part, to Paul Baümer of the Bingo Players, who passed away last December from cancer. The special gathering is focused on raising both awareness and funds for cancer research. The star-studded lineup will feature Bingo Players, Carl Tricks, Dada Life, David Tort, Henry Fong, MAKJ, Tommy Trash, Chuckie, Bassjackers and more to be announced in the coming weeks. The show is simply named “Remembrance”, and will take place on March 27th at the Ice Palace in Miami. To support the charity Paul named before he passed, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to KWF (Dutch Cancer Society), as well as the American Cancer Society.
The organization states:
“Remembrance is, in its meaning, the action of remembering someone. To me, dance music has always symbolized a certain vitality, energy and celebration of life. To combine both the forward-looking celebration and the remembering of things past for a positive purpose makes it all the more powerful. Many people are dealing with cancer on a daily basis and I hope we can create an environment where people can share their stories, celebrate the memory of those that have passed and the life we thankfully still have.”
Tickets go on sale Feb 11 at 1pm EST.
